Little Mamas are coming....

 We had a huge success with our mama Thredz launch these past few weeks. Our intro price is over and free shipping is over, but we are launching a new site where you can purchase all of the thredz online. It is still a work in progress but you can make purchases now. We are now opening our online workshop to everyone. We still have a few more weeks in our online workshop with students from around the world  - including 6 countries. I have been getting emails asking when the next one is opening up. There are many forums out there but I find the need for a continual class if you will. I mean when does it end? It doesn't really - does it?

I am going to make this an open virtual workshop. Which means it will be ongoing. Each month or more often - or as I feel the urge - so could be even more often - I will post challenges, thought, ideas, tips, marketing, newsletters, samples, etc. We will have a monthly fee to be a member and I will send a note to all of our current members that this area will go to a paid membership and it will be on ongoing virtual neverending workshop. I will mentor everyone as best as I can and always be here to give as much help as possible and we will continue to have chats, etc.

Mama Thredz

I am so excited that our new Mama Thredz have arrived. I am loving these and so are my Mamas!

Our very own Tiffany is modeling for us. We are working on a new website, so these aren't even on the site yet! These lovely gowns are wonderful for your Mamas. Whether they are coming in for a pregnancy session or want to hide their leftover belly when they bring in their new blessing to you - they are comfortable and simple! Use them for pregnancy, use them for newborn shoots or anything else you wish. These gowns can be used many many ways!

Choose a Style:
Sassy : 40" from top to bottom (the shortest of all the gowns)
Mama: Gown is about 56” long (this is the most standard length gown, just by toes)
All Mama: This is our longest gown and a favorite. Use a fan and blow it away! Length is 70” long
Mama Swap (reversible – all black on one side and black with grey on the bottom on the reverse)

Choose Color:
Vanilla (Cream color) This material is sheer. Woman can wear panties or boy shorts underneath or nude. Tiffany is shown nude.
Midnight (black)
Mid Dream (black on top with grey on the bottom) Bottom material is sheer. Woman can wear panties or boy shorts underneath or nude. Tiffany is shown wearing boy shorts.

Choose a Size:
S – For standard size woman - Regular size gown for woman size 5'6 and below and up to 36" around the chest area (this isn't the cup size  - bust area will stretch) This is for the average woman.
T – For the taller and larger woman size 5'6 and above – will fit 37-40”
P – For the plus size woman who’s chest area is larger than 40” and hip size is larger than 42”

When ordering, combine the three:
For example – if you want the shorter gown in cream color to fit a standard size woman, you would say Sassy Vanilla S. Or if you wanted an all black tall size gown. You would say Mama Midnight T. If you wanted the reversible for an average size woman than you would say MamaSwapS.

All orders come with our digital template of the Wardrobe Guide for Pregnancies and New Mamas as well as a promo card with one of the gowns to advertise for your clients. All existing clients will get free updates to these files when we make changes.

Summer Arrivals coming for Baby Thredz

Things are hopping around here. We are in week 3 of our online workshop and our students are busier than ever working on their lessons, challenges, tips and ideas. I am so proud of our students who are from all over the world!

Here back in the States - California to be exact - our seamstresses are hard at work. We are releasing some new products for the Summer, and many of these are going to look amazing at the beach this summer.

Details: This workshop will be a two and a half day workshop. The Event begins on Thursday evening, with drinks and dinner and discussion of what is to come for the next two days. We will begin by discussing marketing and how to build /expand your pregnancy/newborn business.

Friday - The Day of the Pregnancy - We will begin the day by covering pricing, books, frames, collages and more. Everything after a pregnancy session. The second half of the day will be all shooting, so bring your gear. With live models, you will wrap and unwrap our pregnant models. You will twist and turn them, turn off a light or two and really learn how to work with woman of any shape. There will be at least two models. We will break up into teams and with Ana's guidance, all will have a chance to photograph the models.

Saturday -We will begin the day by having a slideshow and critique of the previous days images. Learn the art of cropping and working with your images to make them amazing. Then we are onto the Day of the Newborn. We will be discussing the baby plan and review Ana's actual client baby files and go over what is working in her plans. We will also discuss baby books and more pricing. How to add extra options, such as creative canvases, watercolor prints, announcements and more. We will then photograph a newborn baby. By the end of the weekend, we will make sure you are comfortable with pregnancy and newborns.

This course is for people (men and woman) of all ages and experiences. Remember - It's NOT What YOU Know - It's What I Know! We will also touch on networking with stores/ob offices/ultrasound studios and more. There will be challenges along the way as well as personal challenges. You will also receive: lots of goodies!

This is a workshop that I have put my heart and soul into! I will be limiting this workshop to only 10 photographers. I want to make this an intimate workshop in which everyone can have time photographing our models. In addition, to all my students, you will always have private mentoring available by me for as long as you need it.

Workshop Wrap Up

Well it was another wonderful retreat with 10 photographers this past month for our second workshop - based on my book - The Art of Pregnancy and Newborn. We were blessed with four models throughout the weekend and we are still going through all of the images. The 8 new photographers that came in from England, Pennsylvania, Texas and all other areas of the world, were amazing. I felt like I was on a first date with all of them. They were great, and I am sure you will be seeing their names somewhere in the world!

I am working on a slideshow of all of their images, but it will take some time - because we did lots of shooting! Here are some of my pics - I was able to snag a few during the weekend. Thanks to our wonderful models, who endured hours of being photographed!

Next up for now  - is Texas in July. I will be speaking at the Children and Family Photographers of America conference.
